New Entry Restrictions for Foreign Nationals
Due to increased concern over the more contagious variant of the COVID-19 virus, new entry restrictions will be in effect from 00:01 the morning of Friday the 29th of January. Only those foreign nationals who are already residents in Norway will be allowed entry. Visitors as well as persons relocating will now have to wait until these restrictions are lifted before they travel to Norway. The government is expected to re-evaluate the situation in two-weeks time.
Some exceptions to the rules will apply, which include healthcare workers from Sweden and Finland, foreign jounalists as well as some workers considered critical for society.
We hope the new stricter rules will help hinder the spread of the COVID-10 variant and help lead us back to ‘normal’ in the near future. For residents and Norwegian citizens, a negative COVID test upon arrival (taken within 24 hours before departure) as well as the 10-day quarantine rules are still in effect at this time.
