Few trademarks are better known and connected to Norway than FREIA.
We are thrilled to be able to invite you to the chocolate factory for a presentation of this wonderful product, and the history behind it. The factory was founded in 1889, bought by Johan Throne Holst in 1892, and has been located in Rodeløkka in Oslo since that time.
The visit to Freia includes the following:
- Freialand – presentation of the history of the factory and the cocoa bean.
- Freiasalen (the Freia hall) – facing the Freia Park, the hall is adorned with 12 original Munch paintings. The hall is used as a canteen for the employees today as well as for concerts and other culture arrangements.
- The Freia Park is famous for its many flowers and many beautiful sculptures.
- Sculpting your own chocolate
The tour takes about one and a half hours, finishing off with tea/ coffee and chocolate in the Freia hall.
Please note that this event can only take a maximum of 16 persons, so don´t wait too long to sign up. The tour is not for children.

It is very important that you all meet at 17.45 sharp. It is not possible to catch up with the group if you arrive after the tour starts. Meeting place is by the reception. If you have problems finding the location (reception), please call the reception on 22 04 41 00.
